Marcus Thuram has been leading the attack at Inter Milan alongside Lautaro Martìnez in Serie A this season. The Frenchman is known for his commendable strike partnership with club captain and fellow striker Martinez. However, his most recent post on Instagram proves that he can take a good joke, while also making fun of himself in the process.
Inter Milan visited Stadio Artemio Franchi to take on 6th place Fiorentina on Monday. Even though Inter managed to secure the win thanks to a solitary Lautaro Martìnez goal, Marcus Thuram missed a golden opportunity to score in the first half. Fans were surprised when he put up a troll video of his ‘miss’ on Instagram.

In the video, the player edited a clip from the movie ‘American Sniper’ to seem as if he was shot down by Bradley Cooper. In actuality, Thuram slipped and fell to the turf right as he was about to take the shot.
Both the player and the fans were all smiles after the incident, given Inter picked up all three points on the night. The player captioned his post “RIP?”. Following the win, Inter are top of the table, with a one-point-lead and a game-in-hand over Juventus.
“Inter are favorites” – Juve boss Massimiliano Allegri with mind games ahead of crucial clash
Inter Milan are set to host Juventus a week from now at the San Siro on Monday. The sides are first and second in Serie A, with just a single point separating the two sides. While Inter have a game in hand, a Juventus win will see them go ahead, even though their opponents will have a game to their advantage. Many have dubbed the clash to be as important as a title decider, as no other club is within 7 points of either team.

Juve boss Massimiliano Allegri has initiated the ‘mind games’ ahead of the match-up, with the Italian labeling Inter as favorites to lift this year’s ‘Scudetto’. He said,
The Derby d'Italia is marvelous to participate in and the stadium will be packed. We will go there and try to get a result against, what I repeat, is the best team i. Italy, and clear favorites to win the league.
Ahead of the game on February 5, the San Siro has been completely sold out, promising an electric atmosphere when the two sides meet. Juve are also expecting Federico Chiesa and Adrien Rabiot to be in shape for the game on Monday. The side haven’t lost a single game in their last ten outings, while Inter are on a six-game winning streak. That being said, many, including former Inter goalkeeper Gianluca Pagliuca, have predicted a title race that will go down to the wire this season.
