Harriet Robson, Mason Greenwood‘s partner shared an Instagram story as Getafe held an open training session at Coliseum Alfonso Pérez. Harriet shared a photo of her in the stadium basking in the sun. Her other story had a photo of a baby-sized Getafe kit for her newborn.
Getafe fans came in numbers to watch their new No.12, Mason Greenwood train with the team. The English youngster has already become a fan favorite with people of all ages lining up to take photos or get their jerseys signed by the player. Getafe went as far as creating an extra Twitter account for English speakers due to the player’s arrival. Mason Greenwood holding up his new jersey is currently the most liked photo on the account with 50K likes.
Harriet Robson’s Instagram story holds relevance as it implies support towards the player. Mason Greenwood has not played professionally since January 2022 after the player was charged with cases of r*pe and s****l assault. The charges have been dropped since. However, the public’s reactions to his return to Manchester United were met with widespread disgust leading to a loan move to Spain.
Greenwood now resumes his career with Getafe on a season-long loan. If a move back to United is truly out of the cards, the forward will be looking to prove himself and start afresh elsewhere next year.

Since Harriet Robson‘s story was posted, people have begun commenting on it. All the people who backed Mason Greenwood were glad to see the young lady support ‘her man’ as she also wore a Getafe jersey at the stadium. Others commented about how she is a victim who is finding it hard to leave her ‘predatory’ partner. A ‘toxic relationship’ which she is unable to escape from they dubbed.
A small sections have had mixed feelings. They believe it is possible that she forgave him and the couple have started anew, but that may seem far-fetched. They labeled this ‘a confusing situation’.
Getafe have received criticism for bringing in Mason Greenwood to the club. The public was confused as they were one of the first clubs to come out against Luis Rubiales‘s kissing controversy with Jenni Hermoso.
