The £200 million player is spending his vacation in the country and participating in multiple events with the locals.

In a video that surfaced on Twitter, Mbappe was seen playing basketball with children in Cameroon. The Frenchman’s love for basketball was revealed to the fans when he congratulated Victor Wembanyama for getting picked on the first draft of the NBA.

The 24-year-old striker is accompanied by high-end security, but he didn’t resist returning to his native village, Djebale, an island in Cameroon, and took part in various activities with the local population. Images and videos have surfaced on the internet, showing Mbappé’s happiness as he played alongside the excited children, thus depicting Mbappé’s down-to-earth nature as a mega-star footballer.

Mbappe also played football with the kids from the community in Cameroon when he arrived. He went to his dad’s village and played a match with the children there. Mbappe said to the press, “It’s an honor for me to be in the country of my origin, to be with my family the people here. They showed me everything here and I’m really grateful for everything “

The 24-year-old sent a letter to PSG expressing his wish to leave the team when their contract ends next year. The club’s chairman, Nasser Al-Khelaifi, stated that they won’t allow the French player to leave without a fee.
