Former Manchester City player Micah Richards had an embarrassing moment on live TV- on CBS Champions League show. He got really excited when Kylian Mbappe scored for PSG.
In an attempt to mimic celebration, the pundit jumped to pull off the move. But ended up taking a part of his tightly fitted trousers in front of the other presenters. Kate Abdo and Jamie Carragher were the first ones to point out his wardrobe malfunction. Later, all three started laughing at the incident.
Richards has highly been praised over the seasons for his jolly personality and jovial presence on the screen. He was quick to cover up the moment with a smile and joked about it.
Former Liverpool player Jamie Carragher remarked laughingly:
I am not sure who is being canceled, but someone is.
Richards’ failed attempt to pull off the celebration certainly indicated that he would not be looking to mimic any further celebration lately on live television.
Micah Richards observes the decline of one of Liverpool’s most important players
Liverpool’s recent form has shown glimpses of their former excellence, but they have yet to reclaim the dominance they enjoyed during their Premier League triumph in 2019/20. While the team has performed impressively this season, they are still some way from the formidable force they once were. Micah Richards had some harsh words to share for one of their standout players.
One notable observation comes from Richards, who discussed Liverpool on the BBC Match of the Day Top 10 Podcast. Richards expressed his belief that Virgil van Dijk has experienced a decline in recent years, primarily attributing it to the ACL injury the defender suffered a couple of years ago.
Richards noted that Van Dijk appears to have lost a step or two in terms of pace, which is a common consequence of such injuries. While Van Dijk remains a world-class player, this assessment suggests that he may no longer be considered one of the greatest defenders of all time in his current form.
