Middle-Eastern consortium in talks with Liverpool for a €3 Billion takeover: Reports
The Premier League club Liverpool FC was put on sale by its owners, the Fenway Sports Group, as they seek new investment in the club and are looking to be relieved of the responsibility. However, since the sale was spoken about, many consortiums have barged in to have some taste of the club. Recently, the Reds have held discussions with two Middle East-based consortiums over a possible 3 Billion Euros takeover. Few representatives of the groups have expressed their interest in buying the club.
After several reports of the Middle East jumping into the contest, the sources have reported that the consortiums approached the Liverpool man in charge Mike GordonLiverpool man in charge the consortiums approached Mike Gordon was approached by the consortiums to register their interest. Many investors and bargainers have collided with offers and placed the club on a considerable level, opposite to Jurgen Klopp‘s beliefs the club has been finally put up for sale.
The Dubai International Capital, one of the most prominent contenders, is running up the race. According to multiple reports from the Middle East, investors in Dubai are weighing up purchasing Liverpool for $5 Billion. The potential owners have been on their toes in the race up until now. FSG released an official statement to offload the club from its shoulders after 12 long years of ownership.
The statement read confirming it “would consider new shareholders if it was in the best interest of Liverpool as a club.” As the offers were invited Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley are assisting with the process. The organization of Forbes valued the club this year earlier in May at over 3.5bn, making the amount jump from 12 times the amount FSG paid in the year 2010 to own the club. The group later set the price around 4bn asking price, and it would now take a hugely-rich individual or group to take over the Reds.
Liverpool’s bad days are here: Jurgen Klopp gave a hint at leaving the club
The coach was extremely disappointed after losing to Tottenham Hotspurs in the Premier League and issued a probable threat hinting he will not stick around if there is no ‘enthusiasm’ and ‘passion’ for him to feed off. Any coach would want the same zeal that he puts across. Receiving boos from the fans’ end was indeed a disgrace as if the Mohammad Salah brace wasn’t already enough. The coach added in the post-match saying, “the passion and enthusiasm are my fuel. I need to have this. It’s very, very important for me.”
The coach has given it all, there is no doubt that the club is doing well, and a few matches here and there, it’s part and parcel of the game, and having players injured at the wrong time is also natural, but how to deal with circumstances like these, tests the real iron of the man in charge.
