Liverpool star winger Mohamed Salah FUMES at Jurgen Klopp over substitution against Chelsea

Mohammed Salah has not had a beginning to the new Premier League season like he would have hoped for. Rather he was fuming after he was substituted in the opener against Chelsea. Salah was frustrated over the substitution. As he pulled off the tape from his hands and bounced it onto the pitch as Jurgen Klopp passed by.
The game took place on the 13th of August at the iconic Stamford Bridge. In the 77th minute of the match, Mo Salah was subbed for young Harvey Elliott. The game ended in a 1-1 draw.
Amid the need for stability and a fresh boost, the atmosphere was charged for everyone involved due to the player’s reaction. Jurgen Klopp pointed out and understood Salah’s chance at a significant record, but that didn’t affect the decision. Post-match the Liverpool gaffer acknowledged his player’s eagerness to play for the team. However, he also mentioned that it is part and parcel of the game.
Klopp further stated, “When I sub a player and he is jumping into my arms at 1-1. He is a striker who thinks he will score. I would be really surprised so that’s absolutely fine. I can understand because if Mohammed scored it would have been a new record for goals scored in the opening game, but I didn’t think about that.“

Mo Salah’s disappointment in his substitution from his very calm and cool manner on the pitch took the fans by surprise. But an argument can be made that his frustration was humane. As this is the first time ever Salah has failed to score in an opening match of a Premier League season. Since his arrival in Merseyside in 2017.
Finishing fifth in the league table, Liverpool‘s overall performance was quite underwhelming in the last season. But the Egyptian King, Salah, still managed to bag a total of 19 goals.
As the new season unfolds fans and football enthusiasts anticipate Salah’s masterclass and his influence in the team’s glory. Liverpool’s success in the new season will be influenced by Klopp’s tactical and strategic gameplays to push the team’s ability to face the challenges.
