“We are not scared of them”- Kvaratshkelia makes bold claim ahead of Champions League clash vs Real Madrid

The Champions League returns to action on Tuesday. Napoli takes on Real Madrid in a high-octane clash at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona. The defending Serie A Champions will have every right to contest for the three points as they are top of Group C. Ahead of the clash, Napoli winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia‘s comments have made quite a stir.
It is no secret that Kvaratskhelia is a Real Madrid fan. The player’s agent has made it clear in the past that the player is a ‘Madrista’. Speaking to Dario AS, the player said, “I grew up watching Real on TV.” However, he added, “Today, we want to beat them.” After a silent start to his season, the player has now found his form. His performances in the last 2 games speak for themselves.
With a goal and two assists, Kvaratskhelia is back to his best. Napoli manager Rudi Garcia reassured fans that the player is back to his best. The player also commented, “We are not scared of them (Real).” Real Madrid the on the back of a 3-0 win against Girona. Los Blancos will look to maintain their momentum and rise to the top in Group C.

Carlo Ancelotti returns to Napoli ahead of Champions League clash
Real Madrid take on Napoli at the Diego Maradona Stadium on Tuesday. Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti had a few words for his former club. Speaking to the Press ahead of the clash, Ancelotti acknowledged the challenge. He said that his club faces their toughest challenge of the group stage yet. He also added that Napoli are one of the best teams in Italy.
“Napoli performed brilliantly last year,” said Ancelotti. “It will be a competitive and evenly matched game,” he added. He admitted that Napoli is at a very ‘high’ level. Ancelotti was also in charge of Napoli a few seasons ago, back in 2018/19. He acknowledged those days and said that he had some positive moments with the team back then.
“Napoli is one of the best teams in Italy. They have quality, they play at home. We have to play a very serious game like we did in Girona,” the Italian boss said. Ancelotti was sacked when the club was in 7th place in Serie A.
Ahead of the super clash in the Group C of the UCL group stage, the Royal Whites are 2nd in the group. Los Blancos earned a hard-fought victory after a 90+4 strike from Jude Bellingham. Napoli triumphed 2-1 over Braga in their opening UCL game. The sides met back in 2016 when Real Madrid won both legs 3-1 in the RO16.
