Manchester City star Nathan Ake in a recent interview, revealed that he wants to collaborate with fellow teammates, Jack Grealish and Bernardo Silva. He expressed his interest in a musical venture with the two Citizens’ teammates.
During the Covid-19 lockdown, the 28-year-old City defender found a love for music. He got into playing the piano and got really into it. Ake also got a piano and began practicing every day. Further, he believes that he has been improving and wants to keep playing.
While speaking to ITV, the Dutchman also revealed that his fellow City teammates Grealish and Bernardo also have an added taste in music. Nathan Ake mentioned that while the English winger enjoys playing the DJ, the Portuguese midfielder is inclined toward singing. When questioned about the possibility of musical collaboration, Ake expressed interest, suggesting it is something he would explore in the future.
We haven't done it yet, but I think we need to try it sometime! Jack [Grealish] really likes to play the DJ, we have people who are musical people. Bernardo [Silva] likes to sing, we have people who like music, so they don't mind.
Meanwhile, the three of them – Silva, Grealish, and Ake – have been in decent form this season, playing an important part in the Man City squad. The club is currently in the second position in the Premier League table, with a game in hand ahead of their rivals, leaders, Liverpool.

Manchester City defender Nathan Ake is participating in a noble initiative called ‘Playing for Change’. The 28-year-old Dutch star will donate electric pianos to disadvantaged schools around the city of Manchester.
Ake learned to play the piano during the Covid-19 lockdown and subsequently developed a special affinity towards the instrument. He expressed his newfound interest in multiple interviews and became a part of the project that aims to improve access to music education in disadvantaged schools.
He participated in the project supported by the national charity “Restore the Music.” Teaming up with Casio Music UK, six schools in Manchester will each receive ten pianos.
