Negotitaion period over for Barcelona defender Gerard Pique and Shakira as the former couple set to take their dispute to court
Gerard Pique and Shakira
Shakira and Gerard Pique are still engaged in a custody dispute over their kids, and it seems that neither party is very motivated to come to a resolution outside of going to court. Shakira attempted to mend their relationship on numerous times after their breakup, but the footballer’s heart was elsewhere. He fell in love with a 23-year-old lady he met while working at his production firm, Kosmos.
Negotiations took place after the couple split, with Pique wanting the kids to stay in Barcelona and the Colombian wanting to take them to Miami. Time has run out because they have not been able to come to a mutually agreeable solution in all these months. The little children must start school on September 5 but they are still unsure of the location.
Apparently, a judicial case will be needed to resolve this issue. The Colombian, who is embroiled in yet another important legal fight, now faces even another issue. She is charged with six offences against the tax authorities by the Public Prosecutor’s Office, who is seeking an eight-year sentence.

As the Tax Court case moves into trial, Shakira is “Confident in Her Innocence.”
The Colombian pop artist, who maintains she did not reside in Spain at that time, is charged with failing to pay taxes to that nation from 2012 to 2014. The actor has chosen to go to trial rather than accept a settlement offer from Spanish authorities, but a date has not yet been set.
The Barranquilla singer is not going down without a fight. In actuality, the holiday settlement was also challenging. Both parties have put out their suggestions, which have been turned down in both instances. Both parties’ ideas and counterproposals will be laid forth in the first week of September, and a quick choice will need to be taken.
According to sources, if the singer is found guilty of allegedly evading taxes on 14.5 million euros ($15 million), the prosecution would likely ask for an eight-year term.
