Cristiano Ronaldo’s under-construction house near Lisbon, which he plans to enjoy after retiring, is causing problems among the local community due to ongoing construction. Once he ends his professional football career, the 38-year-old Al Nassr player intends to divide his time between Real Madrid and this home near the Portuguese coastline.

Since the construction commenced three years ago, the property has suffered numerous issues, causing setbacks. It is anticipated another year before the mansion is finally completed and Ronaldo and his family can relocate there.

According to the Portuguese outlet Look, the locals have become “fed up” with the negative consequences that the construction work is causing to their daily lives. One person said, “They’ve been building for three years. The house is so big it looks like a hospital.” Another said, “My street has been closed for months, my garden is full of dust. All because of Pharaoh Ronaldo’s pyramid!” Many people have dubbed the house as ‘Pharaoh Ronaldo’s Pyramid’. The house is still under construction for at least this year.

Former Welsh international Gareth Bale has shared an insight into his former Real Madrid teammate Cristiano Ronaldo’s competitive nature, stating that Ronaldo would be extremely frustrated in the dressing room if he failed to score in a match, regardless of the team’s 5-0 victory. The former Tottenham Hotspur player said that Ronaldo was a nice person with a strong mentality.

He said, “He was actually okay. He had his moments where for example, if we win five nil and he didn’t score, he comes in and throws his boots like he was angry. It’s like your team winning the Ryder Cup and you didn’t get a point so you are angry. He was a nice guy, we didn’t really have any problems, and he has a good mentality.”

Ronaldo and Bale played together for Real Madrid in 157 matches, combining for 41 goals during their time together at the club. The Welsh player is now retired while the former Manchester United player now plays for Al-Nassr.
