Netflix is reportedly planning to make a documentary for the World Cup this winter and has approached the wives of England internationals to share their experiences about the same.

Sports documenteries have been growing in popularity in recent years. Amazon’s All or Nothing features many of Europe’s elite clubs while Juventus partnered with Netflix for a documentary of their season as well. Netflix has now decided to document this year’s Qatar World Cup and approached football stars’ loved ones to feature as well.

England’s World Cup preparations take a 3 game-winless halt

England was one of the most ferocious teams in last year’s Euro Cup. They eventually lost to Italy in the finals in a penalty shootout. However, England, under Southgate has been exceptional are remain one of the favourites for the World Cup this year.

However, the most international break hasn’t gone England’s way. They remain winless in their first 3 UEFA Nations League games. Drawing their last 2 games and lost one to Hungary. They are 4th in their group and could potentially drop to the 3rd category of the Nations League.

With a plethora of options available all over the field, Gareth Southgate seems to be unable to find the best possible 11 of the lot. He has tried different formations and players all through the defence and midfield to find the right balance, but can’t get it right. This is the first time in 4 years that England has gone 3 games without a victory.

England has one last game against Hungary left until September. The 3 Lions will hope to end their International break on a high. After which, their wives and Wags might get to work in the Netflix Docuseries.
