Neymar ankle injury update: How long will the PSG star remain out of action? Will he undergo surgery?
Neymar Junior is set to be out of action and will undergo surgery due to the injury he suffered against LOSC Lille.
Ligue 1 side Paris Saint Germain announced that Neymar will be undergoing surgery and is set to miss football action for the next three to four months. The 31-year-old suffered an injury against LOSC Lille in a league game on February 19. He had to be stretchered off as he tried to hold back his tears.
This means that the Brazilian may be out for the rest of the season which includes crunch Champions League game against Bayern Munich away on March 9. Bayern hosts PSG away in the Round of 16. In the reverse fixture, Bayern picked all three points from the Perc de Princes where they won 1-0 through a Kingsley Coman goal.
Neymar had a brilliant start to the season with 15 goals and 11 assists in just 26 games in all competitions. Apart from this, he has helped PSG extend their lead to 8 points at the top of Ligue 1.

PSG’s Neymar Jr. linked to Premier League club

Neymar will receive a €60 million price tag upon him as his contract with PSG expires in 2025. Neymar’s injury record will also contribute to the doubts to any potential suitor.
