Neymar Jr., the PSG and Brazil superstar, has been fined $4.5 million for the unauthorized construction of a lake and violations of environmental laws at his luxurious mansion in Rio de Janeiro. The reason for the fine is that Neymar built a lake at his mansion near Rio de Janeiro without obtaining the necessary environmental permit, as stated by authorities.
The footballer, known for his extravagant lifestyle, violated city regulations by making substantial alterations to his property without proper permits or approvals. City officials initiated an investigation after uncovering these modifications in one of the city’s exclusive areas.
On June 22, authorities in Mangaratiba, Brazil, reported that the luxurious residence allegedly breached local regulations pertaining to the usage and movement of freshwater, rocks, and sand. Authorities cordoned off the site and ordered all activity to cease, but Brazilian media reported that Neymar threw a party there and bathed in the lake.
The Brazilian’s father also got into a lot of trouble earlier this month with the authorities. The police took him after his neighbors complained about the illegal construction on the property.
