Neymar intends to leave PSG in the upcoming transfer window
Paris Saint Germain forward Neymar Jr. has ‘changed his mind’ regarding his stay in PSG. The Brazilian forward is looking forward to leaving the Parisian club this summer. The forward has still four years of Contract with the club but has no intention to stay that long. The Ligue 1 giants reportedly may allow the exit to happen with an appropriate offer for the 31-year-old.
Initially, the player had no interest in leaving Paris. The last few weeks have changed the entire drama. The Brazilian forward was booed by the fans during the matches. Fans even gathered around his house to hurl abuses at the player demanding his exit from Paris. A similar situation was witnessed for Lionel Messi who decided not to continue in Paris in the upcoming season. It seems like the Brazilian would like to take the same exit path as he doesn’t earn the respect in PSG.
Neymar moved to PSG from Barcelona with a record-breaking transfer fee of 222 million Euros. PSG number 10 receives a yearly payment of 40 million Euros from PSG. The player expects to cut a deal with a club that could provide an amount near the current figure.
Neymar Jr. is recovering from an ankle injury. The winger would be out for the rest of the season. The former Barcelona forward has scored 24 goals and assists in just 18 matches. Neymar has his name printed on 13 trophies while playing for Ligue 1 Giants.
Possible Premier League transfer options for Neymar
The Brazilian forward is a big name in the transfer market. Given his name, style, and gameplay it is very easy to predict that not many clubs across the world could afford him. Neymar Jr. wishes to play in the Premier League after leaving Ligue 1 giants.
PSG is reportedly in talking terms with Chelsea, Newcastle United, and Manchester United regarding the player. The PSG owner Nassr Al Khelaifi is probably in talks with the owners of the Premier League club to cut a deal.
Chelsea has the highest interest in the Brazilian forward. Todd Boehly is said to have had a word with the PSG owner and wants to bring the player to Stamford Bridge. Second, on the line is Newcastle United. The Premier League club is now seeing the dreams of playing in the Champions League. The club has also purchased some players recently with heavy transfer fees. The clubs have also scouted Neymar Jr. as plausible attacking enforcement to power up their Champions League dream.
PSG are on a mission to cut the Brazilian forward of their record book. The heavy salary of the player has reportedly caused implications in financial fair play. The Paris-based team could even cut a deal with Manchester United at a reduced price. The Red Devils have also kept Neymar as a possible option.
