Spartak Moscow’s Twitter admin is at it again, this time mocking Cristiano Ronaldo’s difficulty to leave Manchester United with a hilarious tweet. Ronaldo informed United that he intended to leave the club after the Red Devils failed to qualify for the Champions League, citing his desire to win trophies as the primary reason.

Since his announcement, the 37-year-old has had little success, with Chelsea, PSG, and Bayern Munich all ruling out a move for the Portugal international. And now a new club has also denounced their interest in signing Ronaldo in Spartak, who decided to pounce on the opportunity and let the forward know that they would also not be signing him.

Spartak’s English-language social media account has gained a reputation in recent years for its amusing tweets, and this is yet another to add to the collection. The club shared an image of an Instagram direct message from Ronaldo that said “Hi, Spartak,” but they responded with a simple “No.”

In addition to Ronaldo’s ‘failed attempt’ to join Spartak, they shared a photo of the time they tried to lure Lionel Messi to the Otkrytie Arena in 2021 after it became clear that he would be allowed to speak to other clubs about a free transfer when he had six months left on his contract at Barcelona.

Unfortunately for Spartak, the shoe was on the other foot when Messi turned them down, leaving them to caption their failed attempt “Pain.” Spartak stated above their post depicting their interaction with Ronaldo, “Pain again. But not for us this time.” Ronaldo has yet to join the Manchester United squad for pre-season, as the Red Devils are currently in Australia preparing for the 2022/23 season.
