Danny Mills made the stunning assertion that NONE of the top six Premier League teams would now sign Lionel Messi.
Messi, 35, had a challenging first season after joining Paris Saint-Germain from Barcelona, netting just 11 goals in all competitions.
After allegedly rejecting down the opportunity to play in England’s top division, he occasionally struggled in Ligue 1. According to former Premier League fullback Mills, none of the top six teams are currently interested in signing the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner.
While praising Messi as the best footballer he has ever seen, Mills isn’t sure if he would be accepted by teams like Manchester City, Liverpool, and Tottenham. “Would you like to have Lionel Messi now? most likely not” on talkSPORT, he remarked.

It goes without saying that Mills’ evaluation of Messi erupted on social media.
“Is he at the wind up?” one person tweeted. “Even though I support Tottenham, I would take Messi in a heartbeat.”

“Surely this isn’t serious?! ” a fourth person said. “You might be able to argue in favor of Manchester City. But he unquestionably enters the Tottenham side.”
Messi competing in the Premier League has always generated interesting debate. He has a strong scoring record in the Champions League versus English clubs, which implies he’d have a ton of success there.
