Frenkie de Jong, Barcelona midfielder, has said that he would want to team up with alleged Barca target Robert Lewandowski coming season.
Links between Lewandowski, a Polish international, and Barca have been circulating for some weeks. This comes after the 33-year-old made it clear that he wants to move on this summer after a successful run at Bayern Munich in Germany.

This comes after the two were seen chatting following the Netherlands‘ 2-2 Nations League draw with Poland on Saturday. And de Jong has made no secret of his desire to play with Lewandowski, describing the veteran striker as “one of the finest in the world”
Lewandowski has previously stated that he will not sign a new contract with Bayern and that he wishes to go, but sports director Hasan Salihamidzic has stated that the club expects him to finish his current term, according to Mundo Deportivo.
Bayern Munich may be prepared to let Lewandowski go if a substitute attacker can be found beforehand. Salihamidzic acknowledged that the Bavarian giants are on the market for new forwards.
Meanwhile, speculation about De Jong’s future remains, with coach Xavi already admitting that the midfielder may be transferred due to the Catalans’ continuous financial difficulties.
