Manchester City players celebrate jubilantly after defeating Real Madrid in the second leg
Manchester City proceeded to the Champions League Final of 2023 after decimating Real Madrid 4-0 in the Semi-Final. The Etihad Stadium got on its toes after Bernando Silva completes his brace. While Manuel Akanji and Julian Alvarez add to the party to get the Istanbul tickets for Manchester City.
Manchester City broke the deadlock in the 23rd minute. Bernardo Silva makes a brilliant run to score a brilliant opener. The Portuguese took a hard grounded shot which gave Thibaut Courtois no chance.

World Cup winner substitute Julian Alvarez joined the party with a brilliant finish in scoring with a sumptuous finish to take the lead to four. If Pep Guardiola’s unrelenting monsters manage to win the Champions League and the League Cup in June, Alvarez might go on to become the first player to win the fabled treble along with a World Cup.
Carlo Ancelotti’s men looked hapless for most of the match and apart from a few sessions of half-baked attacks, Los Blancos looked a shadow of the former selves, often catching nothing but the shadows of the City players. This exit meant that Real Madrid will go trophyless in this campaign. The Italian coach as well as the players looked rather out of sorts for the majority of the match. Pep Guardiola, by playing John Stones as an additional midfielder during the build-up phase, struck a masterstroke to nullify the threat of Kroos-Modric-Valverde. The defeat, rather humiliation, would surely cause a huge dent in Real Madrid’s project but it can also be expected to work as a catalyst to speed it up

Another fan commented ‘ Real Madrid just got owned after the tremendous display by Manchester City‘. While another says that he has ‘Never been more ashamed of a Real Madrid match than this‘.
Manchester City will now lock horns with Inter Milan in the Champions League final. The team will surely see the end of Yaya Toure’s curse and win the Champions League. Manchester City got defeated by Chelsea back in 2021 by a goal of 1-0
