Pele reportedly shifted to ‘end-of-life’ care at the hospital after failing to respond to chemotherapy

Footballing Icon and Brazilian legend, Pele, who was admitted to the hospital for intensive care followed by a decline in his health conditions because of Colon Cancer, has lately been shifted to end-of-life care in the hospital. The 82-year-old maestro has reportedly stopped responding to the chemotherapy that was performed on the player following the worsening conditions.
As considered by many The greatest football player of all time was brought to the hospital only days ago, for further re-evaluation of his cancer treatment and then later was found in pain with a respiratory infection, as per the medical reports. Other reports suggest that Pele has been removed from the hardships of chemotherapy and is now under palliative care, getting treated for symptoms such as pain and lack of breath.
The Albert Einstein hospital in Sao Paulo was avoiding to comment on the Great’s worsening conditions including his manager as well. Later a few reports were released stating that the maestro has responded to some of the antibiotics and is in a stable condition “with the general improvement in health status”. During the latter half of 2021, the great had a tumor removed from his Colon and has been receiving hospital treatment since.
