Manchester City have continued their impressive form under manager Pep Guardiola, this season too. They sit second on the Premier League table, behind leaders Liverpool. Responding to Neville’s claim, Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola conveyed that despite its easy appearance, achieving success in football is not easy. He appreciated Neville’s compliment and acknowledged the immense difficulty inherent in the sport. Moreover, he highlighted the challenges players face in winning games consistently and expressed confidence in receiving admiration from the football community.
Thank you [Neville] for the compliment. Everything is so difficult in football. We are admired, I am pretty sure of that, [by] the people in the world of football who know how difficult it is being six or seven years there in all competitions every week.Pep Guardiola said.
Furthermore, he added that opponents show respect to his team. He exclaimed that some people undervalued their achievements, but he understood the challenges based on his experience as both a player and manager.
