Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has recently talked about how winning Premier League was of great importance to him. Manchester City are currently in the second position in the points table of the Premier League. They are just two points behind the current table-toppers Arsenal.
In a recent interview, Guardiola talked about how winning the Premier League was equally important like winning the Champions League. Pep said, “Winning Premier League is almost at a similar level as winning the UEFA Champions League. That’s why we are focusing on the league games, and then we will prepare for Real Madrid “.
Pep’s Man City are set to face Fulham, West Ham United and Leeds United in their next three Premier League fixtures. After these matches, they are then scheduled to face Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu on May 10, 2023, for the UCL semi-finals first leg.

Pep’s Manchester City reportedly interested in signing AC Milan ace Leao: Reports
Manchester City reportedly running ahead in the race to sign a played dubbed “the next Thierry Henry”, Rafael Leao. The club is keeping hopes alive for a third Premier League title in a row. But they are also still eyeing new recruits to strengthen even further.
Though Manchester City have pivoted towards using creative midfielders like Bernardo Silva and Jack Grealish on the flanks with Erling Haaland up front. A move for a wide forward with 1v1 ability is reportedly still rumored to be on the agenda. According to the reports, City have a great interest in AC Milan and Portugal star Rafael Leao. Leao has been compared to Thierry Henry in the past for his leggy dribbling style, stature and right-footed. And also for his penchant for cutting in on the left flank.
Leao is a wanted man right now. He has helped AC Milan to win the Serie A title last season. And also played a pivotal role in Milan securing a Champions League semi-final spot this year. Although his future is up in the air, too, having recently told Sky Sport Italia, “I want to stay here at Milan, yes. But there are some things to resolve.” Reports suggest that Leao has rejected advances from Chelsea and Real Madrid as his contract saga rumbles on.
Man-City may well take this as either positive or negative. On the one hand, these rejections leave the Premier League champions as the most likely destination for Leao. Although Leao’s insistence that he wishes to remain in Milan is a major hurdle. The 23-year-old apparently has a €150 million release clause and is out of contract in just over a year’s time. Though Milan are hoping to tie up a deal with their potent forward. But there is still a fair chance that they could fail to do so and be forced to sell before letting Leao leave for nothing. Rafael is reportedly currently having a value of €80m at the market.
