Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola claimed that his next target after attempting to win the treble this season will be to score a goal away at Tottenham next campaign. Guardiola has already led his side to their fifth Premier League title in six years, pipping Arsenal to the trophy last week.

Man City is now facing an FA Cup final and Champions League final to top off another historic trophy haul. This is despite the overshadowing 115 charges from the Premier League for alleged breaches of financial charges.

In his previous five trips to the Tottenham Hotspurs stadium, the manager has lost all five across all competitions without a single goal in reply. This year too he was left annoyed. Guardiola and his men left the stadium with a 1-0 defeat in February in yet another repeat of previous matches between the two clubs.

It’s an impressive record that the next head coach of Tottenham will have to take on. Reports claim that Feyenoord boss Arne Slot has said “yes” to a move to Tottenham. If he is to take the role, the main job will be getting the project at the club back on track and returning to the very top.

One of the challenges standing in the way will likely be City once again, Guardiola seeking revenge going into next season. When asked by Sky Sports on his aims for next season if the treble is won, the manager said: “Score a goal against Spurs away [laughs].” The interviewer replied as he said, “Possible?” . Guardiola clapped his hands together and said, “It’s why I stay, I want to beat the Spurs away.

Pep Guardiola is reportedly interested in signing Joshua Kimmich this summer from Bayern Munich. The player is reportedly weighing his chances outside his homeland as he seems to be looking for a new adventure elsewhere.

Kimmich is a former Guardiola student and could provide some extra nous and versatility in the City backline and midfielder. Pep is looking for a replacement for Ilkay Gundogan at the club as Ilkay might end up leaving the club at the end of this season. In that situation, Guardiola seems to think that Kimmich will be the perfect fit for the job.

Although it won’t be an easy one ways as many are interested to sign the German midfielder. Teams like Barcelona and Liverpool are still looking for a way to get Kimmich’s signature.
