This, however, didn’t go well with the Ligue1 champions. The club has now given Mbappe two options. Either he has to extend his sign a new contract with the PSG. Or the club would look to sell him this summer as they won’t let Mbappe leave next summer for free.

Spanish Giants Real Madrid are reportedly keeping a tab on Mbappe’s transfer saga as they are interested to acquire his services according to the reports. Mbappe was really close to joining the Spanish side last summer when they offered him a contract. But in the end, he changed his mind and stayed at PSG. Although, now he is rumored are swirling that he might be interested in joining Real Madrid.

Pep Guardiola reportedly talked about Ilkay Gundogan‘s situation at the Premier League amidst links of joining current La Liga Champions FC Barcelona. Gundogan was on the list of players whom Manchester City released prior to the next season.

In the Puma Legends Trophy golf tournament today, Guardiola talked about the German midfielders. Journalists asked him about speculations about Gundogan’s possible transfer to Barcelona. Guardiola said, “We are very interested and they are also very interested.”

The manager then continued, “I hope he stays with us. I want him to do well and we are still fighting for him to stay with us. He is a player we are going to try to keep, we want him to stay, we will do everything we can, but we know Barça want him too.”

In the end, Guardiola talked about the alleged phone calls between Barca coach Xavi Hernandez and Gundogan. He said “If they take him, they are going to take a spectacular player. I know that Xavi is calling him a lot. If in the end, he decides for Barça, I’ll tell ‘Gundo’ you’ll have a great time.”

Gundogan’s contract with Man City is set to expire at the end of this June. And as per reports, there haven’t been any concrete extension talks between both parties. But it’s evident that Man City would love to keep their Champions League captain at the club next season.

Barcelona had been on the edge of their seat for the player as they seem him as a perfect replacement for the departing midfielder Sergio Busquets. And in their current financial situation, getting Gundogan on a free transfer would be a very pleasing scenario for the Catalan giants.
