The American actress Julia Roberts recently wished the Spanish manager Pep Guardiola on winning the UEFA Champions League with Manchester City for the first time since his transfer to the Premier League club. Pep Guardiola had expressed his grief earlier when the famous actress visited Old Trafford and not the City stadium.
The match was interesting to watch but lacked the excitement of goals. The only goal of the match was scored by Rodri in the 68th minute which helped Manchester City to win their first-ever Champions League title and to accomplish the treble.
Pep Guardolia idolizes Juila Roberts. The Man City boss back in an interview claimed that the actress was his idol alongside Legendary basketball player Michael Jordan and the professional golf player Tiger Woods.
“I am a failure in the Champions League. If win the Champions League three times in a row. I will be a failure. I have three idols in my life. Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods, and Julia Roberts. These are my three idols.” Pep told this in an interview.
Pep added: “And she went to visit Man United. She didn’t come to see us. That’s why even if I win the Champions League, it will not compare to the fact that Julia Roberts came to Manchester and didn’t come to see us. Even if I win the Champions League, it will not compare to this disappointment I had.”
And after the Blues lifted the trophy Julia Roberts on her Instagram profile wished the Spanish manager this achievement. The actress wrote, “Congratulations @pepteam for leading your team to be UCL champions.”
