In a show hosted by Sky Sports, Frank Lampard was asked to pick five of Chelsea’s greatest players of all time, who will be a part of his dream team. Interestingly, the former Chelsea skipper chose Petr Cech as the goalkeeper, before naming John Terry, Eden Hazard, Didier Drogba, and Claude Makelele. He jokingly mentioned his name in Chelsea’s best-five but then laughed and named Makelele to be among the bests of the club.

Out of the five players named, four of them played together in the 2004/05 season under coach Jose Mourinho. Didier Drogba, Terry, Makelele, and Cech are all part of the team that won the league title, FA cup title, and the league cup. Makelele was named the player of the year’ by Jose Mourinho. Lampard was also part of the time during their time and later played with Eden Hazard as well. He is the club’s leading goal scorer to date

Frank Lampard is currently the head coach of Everton and has defeated his former side Chelsea 1-0 at the Goodison Park. Everton is on the verge of the relegation zone and might lose out their place in the premier league next season. Lampard managed his former club Chelsea and came on to manage Everton last summer.

Chelsea is currently holding the third spot in the league table and will play the FA Cup 2021-22 final against Liverpool soon. Tuchel’s team is having a bad run after getting eliminated by Real Madrid from the Champions League quarter-final. They have dropped points against a shaky Manchester United and recently got defeated by 18th-placed Everton.

Meanwhile, Lampard’s side looks to survive in the Premier League next season as they recently closed the gap with the 17th-placed Leeds United with one game in hand. They have to overtake Leeds United or Burnley in order to avoid their place in the relegation zone.
