Recently Barcelona defeated Espanyol and got to hold their 27th League Title after a gap of four years. Everyone in the club won the league including Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang the player who played for just eight minutes in this entire season.
After the league-winning squad was announced the fans were a little confused after seeing the name of the Gabonese forward. The player currently is at Stanford Bridge as the Blues on September 2, 2022 signed him for two years.
In the entire 2022/23 season he appeared in only one match for the Catalan club. Aubameyang was subbed in the place of Jordi Alba in the match against Rayo Vallecano which was played on 14th August 2022, which was the first league match for Barcelona. Both the teams had to face a draw at that match 0-0.
Before going to Chelsea the 33-year-old striker in the 2021/22 season appeared in 18 games and scored 11 goals. The rule of being known as a league winner and winning individual medals is different for different leagues. The English Premier League has a rule that to be known as the league winner a player will have to play a maximum of five matches in the league.
Such kind of rule is not there in La Liga so because Aubameyang played that first match he is the Spanish League winner despite playing for just eight minutes in the entire season.
