English journalist Piers Morgan has recently urged Manchester United to sack their manager Erik ten Hag, to protect Marcus Rahsford‘s talent from getting wasted. He emphasized the need for a managerial figure similar to Sir Alex Ferguson to revive Rashford’s career. The 26-year-old English forward recently faced disciplinary actions from the club after claiming illness following a night of partying in Belfast.
The Englishman has been fined £650,000 for missing out on United’s FA Cup match against Newport. Rashford’s performance has significantly dropped this season, with only four goals in 26 appearances. These figures are in stark contrast to his previous season’s form when he scored 30 goals.
Piers Morgan, who has been at loggerheads with United manager Erik ten Hag for letting Cristiano Ronaldo leave the club, has now attributed Rashford’s decline to the Dutch manager. In a note penned by him to the young English star, Morgan urged the new United owners to get rid of the ten Hag, holding him responsible for the club’s miseries. Moreover, he also advised a return to the Sir Alex Ferguson era culture, for the benefit of the team’s youngsters.

In the scathing letter to Rashford, he also highlighted the player’s misguided choices of partying over training, claiming that he should have followed a path similar to that of fellow English star and Real Madrid midfielder, Jude Bellingham.

Morgan slammed the English international for his absence in United’s recent match against Newport and the club’s training session after he called in sick due to the after-effects of partying in Belfast. Moreover, the journalist also pointed out Marcus’s campaign efforts in distributing free school meals to poor children.
