PSG fails to convince Kylian Mbappe even after offering him a €4.8 million per month salary as the Frenchman has made his mind to join Real Madrid: Reports
According to various reports, PSG forward Kylian Mbappe made it clear that he is leaving the French side and is set to make a headline by making the statement of joining Real Madrid official. PSG put up a huge offer for their talisman making him the highest-paid footballer of the team, a commitment to make him the future captain, and a free hand to own his image rights.
The 23-year-old world cup winner was given an offer of £4.8 million per month and a £100 million signing fee if he wishes to stay plus bonuses and incentives and also guarantees to provide him with a better squad next season.
The Frenchman visited Madrid last week and it is confirmed that he went for a medical at the club and also to discuss his transfer with the club’s general director Jose Sanchez.
The official announcement is pending from both sides as the fans have to wait a little longer to get the big news as the season is still to end and he will have final words with his family before making anything official. Real Madrid is expected to offer him a five-year-long contract but he is offered a lesser amount than what PSG would have offered.
PSG and Real Madrid are still having a rivalry over Kylian Mbappe even after the end of their Champions League clashes
PSG and Real Madrid faced each other in the champions league round of 16 where the team from Spain got the better of the French side after a Frenchman’s magnificent hat-trick robbed away the victory for the Los Blancos side.
Karim Benzema overshadowed Mbappe’s outstanding display as he scored in both the legs of the tie but the former had the last laugh after he completed the hat-trick and pulled out an epic comeback to reach the next stage. The French team went on to win the Ligue 1 cup with games still to play amid rumors of Mbappe’s leaving the club.
PSG is fighting hard to keep the 23-year-old striker who had 25 goals and 17 assists in 34 appearances in the Ligue 1 and 6 goals and 4 assists in the UCL 2021/22. Mbappe is set to leave for Real Madrid as he dreamt of playing in the biggest club in the world from his childhood days and looked up to his icon Cristiano Ronaldo. He said it’s not about money but for the love he has for the club.
