PSG presents ‘only options’ to Kylian Mbappe after stripping him out of Japan tour, says he has to prevent ‘paralysis’ of the club

PSG has decided to sell Kylian Mbappe. The club has put the speedster on the transfer list and has excluded him from their pre-season tour to Japan. A letter from the PSG board, headed by President Nasser Al Khelaifi, has more details about the further options for Mbappe.
The letter addresses that PSG has given an ultimatum to Mbappe. That being either to extend his contract for an additional year or to be sold off this summer window so that the club does not stagnate. “A renewal for the 24/25 season or a transfer from this transfer window, these are the only options to avoid a lasting paralysis of the club caused by your recent actions,” these were the words used in the letter.
PSG has also reminded the player that he paraded a Mbappe 2025 t-shirt in front of a packed Parc de Princes. They urged the player to remember their contract and the good faith in which it was agreed. The board aimed these reminders at Mbappe to get him to extend his stay by a year.
The club has hit out further on Mbappe. They explained that PSG had agreed to the major demands of Mbappe and helped him transition into an adult from a teenager. They also explained that the club could not cordially fulfill his transfer request last season due to factors beyond control, and Mbappe forcing a move out of the club shows his lack of sincerity.
PSG might accept Al Hilal’s bid for Kylian Mbappe
Following PSG’s ultimatum to Kylian Mbappe, the Parisian club has put him up for sale. Reports now suggest PSG will agree to a bid from Al Hilal for the superstar. Mbappe, thus could be heading to Saudi Arabia.
According to reports, Al Hilal will likely sign Kylian Mbappe after failing to get Lionel Messi. The Saudi heavyweights have offered PSG a €400 million deal. This includes €200 million in transfer fees and another €200 million in Mbappe’s salary. They are moving swiftly and are looking for the French superstar.
However, they are prepared to let him leave Real Madrid in 2024. The Saudi Club is ready to take the superstar for a year as they aim to promote football in their nation. They will respect his wishes to join Real Madrid and can offer a one-year contract to the Frenchman.
