Earlier today, Mbappe’s commented about his situation with the club and about the ongoing feud between the two. He said, “Reasons to believe it that I could leave? I’m a competitor, when I play, it’s to win. And no matter who I play with, no matter what shirt I wear, no matter where I play, and no matter the year, I’m never satisfied, I just want to win. I’ll never be satisfied. I want to win the Champions League.”

The 24-year-old striker also commented on the poor luck and performance of the club in the Champions League. He said, “I don’t know what PSG is missing to win the Champions League, it’s not a question for me. You have to talk to the people who make the team, who organize the squad, who build this club.”

Mbappe clearly stated that it is not just the Parisians, but also the league that is stopping him from improving, and therefore, to realize his true potential and to win the Champions League, he must join one of the elites. he said, “I just try to do my job as well as possible. I was the best player, top scorer for the fifth year in a row in Ligue 1. Sometimes in football, you face what is called a glass ceiling. That’s why it’s not a big question for me, it’s for those at the top”.

PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has reportedly stated that Kylian Mbappe will not be allowed to leave for free next season. Mbappe’s transfer saga was thought to be over last year when the player decided to stay at PSG and extended his contract. But now it has resumed again after the star striker announced his decision to leave the club next season and not extend his stay at Parc des Princes.

In a recent interview, President Al-Khelaifi stated the club was really disappointed with Mbappe’s decision and will let him leave for nothing. He said, “We want him to stay but he can’t leave for free. There was a verbal agreement and he had discussed it in an interview. And I was really shocked to learn that he had decided to leave for free. It’s very disappointing because Mbappe is a fantastic boy, a real gentleman and to leave for free, weakening the biggest club in France, it’s not him. When I heard the news, I was shocked and disappointed.”

The PSG president then continued, he said, “It’s for him to decide for himself next week, or at most in the next two weeks. And if he does not want to sign a new contract, the door is open. It’s like that for him and everyone else. Nobody is bigger than the club, no player, not even me. It’s very clear.”

In the end, President Al- Khelaifi reiterated that he won’t let the best player of his team leave for free. He said, “By the standards of football, you never see your best player leave for free. It just doesn’t happen. We don’t want to let the best player in the world go for free, it’s impossible. PSG is a French club, it’s his city, and he’s already said he doesn’t want to leave for free. If today someone made him change his mind, it’s not my fault.”
