Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, PSG president, reportedly told star striker Kylian Mbappe that he’d ‘never play for the club again’. In a fierce bust-up that happened between the player and club president on August 8. Further, Al-Khelaïfi reportedly told the Frenchman that he will not feature for PSG after he informed his decision to not activate his contract extension clause, reports L’Equipe. 

Amidst rumors that the superstar was planning for a free transfer to Real Madrid after running down his contract with the Parisians. But, his decision to not extend led to distaste within the management and ultras. After the bust-up, the Frenchman retorted that he (Al-Khelaïfi) would be the only club owner in World Football to not play him. However, Mbappe’s reinstatement into the first team after hitting up an agreement suggests otherwise.

Reports suggest that the Qatari owner said, “You’ll see, you won’t play again! You’ll never play again! We won’t give up!” Mbappe’s reply was, “You’ll see, what will I see? You’ll be the only president who won’t let me play!” After reports came out that Mbappe was even ready to accept a bench role in order to force a move to Madrid, the club has subsequently decided to bring back the striker to the first team. Meaning head coach Luis Enrique can select the player for their upcoming clash against Toulouse on the Weekend.

PSG played their first match after the departure of Brazilian star Neymar Jr. Thye faced Toulouse on Sunday. Kylian Mbappe‘s selection, which was anticipated after all the drama surrounding it, was an added spice to the side’s draw.

The French superstar had a point to prove. From the alleged reports of him forcing the move of Neymar to Al-Hilal, to the recent drama with the President of the club. Mbappe came on in the 51st minute of the game. And within 20 mins he opened the scoreline converting the penalty. Albei, his celebration after scoring the goal caught the eye. As he was just fist-pumping and screaming in front of the PSG faithful, while the players hurdled around him.

Now, whether he will be a regular in the team like he was in all these past years is a bit question mark. But, until then, it seems that this saga is not over just yet!
