PSG reaches agreement with Lille for signing Renato Sanches at a transfer fee of €15 million: Reports
According to Fabrizio Romano, Lille midfielder Renato Sanches is in Paris this afternoon to complete his medical ahead of a €15 million move to PSG.
After sources contacted by the Italian transfer guru yesterday confirmed that the Ligue 1 champions were pushing for an obligatory loan-to-buy deal, with Lille preferring a permanent offer from AC Milan, it was reported last night that Paris Saint-Germain and Lille had reached an agreement in principle over a €15m fee for the Portuguese international.
However, the player had already agreed to terms with PSG and preferred a move to the French capital. A breakthrough in negotiations occurred shortly after PSG agreeing to make a permanent transfer offer worth €15 million similar to Milan’s bid, which was also accepted, was worth €16 million.
Sanches leaves Lille after a three-year spell plagued by injury after joining from Bayern Munich. However, the midfielder appeared in 91 games and was a vital member of the team that won the league title in 2020/21.
Whose next on PSG’s radar?
Paris Saint Germain’s attack already includes Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappé, and Neymar Jr. Nonetheless, it appears that Luis Campos wants to keep improving the squad, and Bernardo Silva could be the next target.
Luis Campos, PSG’s sporting advisor, may be hoping to reunite with the Manchester City forward he worked with at AS Monaco. Silva has been linked to FC Barcelona this summer, but according to the French media outlet, PSG may be looking to capitalize on the fact that the Spanish club has yet to reach an agreement with the Premier League side.
According to the report, Manchester City will only part ways with Silva if a bid between €80 million and €85 million is received for his services.
