PSG’s new sporting director Luis Compos is eager to reunite with manager Christophe Galtier at the Parc des Princes this summer. The duo helped Lille to the Ligue 1 title last year and the 55-year-old is Campos’ favourite to take the reigns from Mauricio Pochettino.

While many including France’s president wanted Zinedine Zidane to take over at PSG this summer, Luis Campos believes Christophe Galtier is the best man to take the club forward. The club have reportedly completed negotiations with OGC Nice and will pay €10 million in compensation to sign the manager.

Mauricio Pochettino leaves PSG after 2 years following a rough stint in France

The former Tottenham manager didn’t enjoy the most successful stints while managing Paris Saint-Germain. Although he did win the Ligue 1 this year and lifted the Coupe de France twice, the Argentine couldn’t bring European success to the club.

Even after being handed a dream transfer last season stars like Lionel Messi, Sergio Ramos, Gianluigi Donnarumma, and Achraf Hakimi are more joined the squad. Poch couldn’t get PSG past the Round of 16 as they were eliminated by eventual champions, Real Madrid.

The Argentine is also set for a huge compensation after having his stint at the French capital cut short. Mauricio Pochettino could receive as much as €15 million in compensation according to L’Equipe.
