“I don’t know how he sleeps at night,” Football pundit raises question on Harry Kane’s commitment to Tottenham

Harry Kane overtook Wayne Rooney to become the second-highest Premier League goal scorer on Saturday. He is Tottenham’s all-time top scorer with 29 Goals, headed in to earn a 1-0 win over Crystal Palace on Saturday. It was his 209th strike in the Premier League, moving him one clear of Rooney on 208.

But Kane has done it in just 317 appearances – whereas Rooney played 491 times. And the current Three Lions captain, who is also our country’s all-time top scorer, is now just 51 goals behind Alan Shearer’s all-time record of 260 goals.

It has been another year of disappointment for him at club level and he is still yet to win a trophy during his incredible career. Micah Richards believes it would be a tragedy if he ended his career without silverware. On Sky Sports, he said: “Harry Kane has remained focused on what he’s needed to do and he does what he does best and is scoring goals.”

He also said, “He’s an unbelievable talent and he’s got nothing to show for it apart from just the goals. Some people would just take the goals, he’s a Spurs legend already and what he has done has been absolutely incredible. But, at the end of your career, you want a trophy.”

Will Xabi Alonso become the next Tottenham Boss?

Q 1683465932

The Tottenham chief has identified the former Liverpool player as his No.1 choice to be Tottenham’s next boss. Tottenham have moved one step closer to making Bayer Leverkusen boss Xabi Alonso their next permanent manager. But according to a report from the Mirror, Spurs have earmarked the 41-year-old as their top target and are prepared to pay for the Spaniard’s release from the Bundesliga club.

When asked about taking over at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium earlier this month, Alonso said, “I’ve been in football for many years, rumors are normal but we still have a lot to achieve. That’s why my head is 100 per cent here for the last few months. And my head is also 100 per cent here for next season

Alonso took over at Leverkusen in October, with the club sitting in the relegation zone after winning just one of their first eight league fixtures. Since then the Spaniard has presided over a remarkable turnaround at the club, with Leverkusen currently sitting sixth in the German top flight, with qualification to next season’s Europa Conference League secured if they can maintain their position with three games remaining.
