Chelsea forward Raheem Sterling is upset about the team’s performance this season. The English striker lamented it as one of the lowest points in his entire career. The Blues are placed 12th in the Premier League table. The Pensioners have failed to log a win in the last nine games.
Raheem Sterling compared Manchester City’s administration with Todd Boehly. He wants the administration to give a more free hand and power to the manager. He wants the next manager to have ‘the final say on everything and it being his way with everyone having to follow that’. The player further recognized Chelsea’s main problem was a lack of chemistry between the players and the boss. Coming from a team led by Pep Guardiola he understands the importance of coaches behind the success of the club.
The former Manchester City striker joined Chelsea in 2022. The Todd Boehly hierarchy signed the English forward for a tag of £47.5 million. The 28-year-old, who has been only in the top four positions while playing for Manchester City, was close to seeing his team getting relegated under Frank Lampard’s caretaker spell.
Raheem Sterling has contributed with only six goals and assists. The player appeared 24 times for the Blues. The gameplay of the player was affected due to the tumultuous season of Chelsea and his injury. The English forward wants to take it as a lesson. He feels the importance of downfall in life. He looks ahead to be stronger and knows this season will ‘make the group stronger’.
What could the upcoming transfer market look like for Chelsea?

The Chelsea club and hierarchy have seen a drastic change since last year. The entire season for the Blues has been a dramatic circus in all competitions. While Real Madrid kicks Chelsea out of the Champions League treble, the club sees it in the 12th spot in the Premier League.
Todd Boehly plans a number of things to change in the upcoming season. From ensuring a fixed boss to offloading players, Chelsea will have a lot of drama. For now, Frank Lampard is still the caretaker of the Blues. Firstly, the Todd Boehly board and Mauricio Pochetino may likely land an agreement. The former Tottenham boss appears as the perfect fit after the talks break between Julian Nagelsmann and the board.
If the former PSG boss lands in Chelsea, there is a high probability of him offloading players in the transfer window. The Argentine coach may look forward to searching for a replacement for Kepa and Mendy. The keepers have rarely been in form since the last Champions League.
Mauricio Pochetino may also go after English midfielder Declan Rice. Given the potential of the midfielder, the player may act as a proper substitute which equals N’golo Kante. The player has the ability to pair up with Enzo Fernandez and Mason Mount to form a dangerous trio. But for now, Chelsea needs to think of ways to avoid relegation. Chelsea will face Nottingham Forest in the upcoming premier league clash.
