Raphael Varane attacks new FA rules involving ‘longer games and more intensity’, says they’re ‘damaging’ the sport

Manchester United’s star center-back and World Cup winner, Raphael Varane, went onto Twitter to voice his emotions regarding the newly implemented EFA rules. He shared his concern regarding the new Premier League rules, which are going to take place this upcoming season.
French International Varane expressed his concern about the physical and mental impact of new EFA rules on players and managers. The teaser of these new rules was seen in the Charity Shield match at Wembley, with Arsenal‘s 100th-minute equalizer by Trossard.
Chiefly, these rules are similar to what was witnessed in the Qatar World Cup. Raphael Varane also mentioned how the FA failed to acknowledge the managers’ and the players’ feedback. He mentioned that these changes are just an added pressure and are being enforced forth despite the previous feedback.
The former Real Madrid defender also wrote that the football committee paid no attention to the consequences before enforcing such law/rule changes. Despite his concern, the world has its own perspective and it would be interesting to see how the footballing world reacts to this.
A look at new Premier League rules for the 2023-24 season
