Real Madrid beats Manchester United, Barcelona, and PSG to become 2023’s most valuable football club

According to Forbes, Real Madrid is the World’s Most Valuable Soccer Team of 2023. The 14-time Champions League title holders have made it to the top position for the second time after securing the top position in the year 2022.

Real Madrid has topped the rankings because of a 19% growth in their value. This growth percentage was achieved due to their $1.014 billion brand value and because singing a deal with CVC worth $400 million.

Only three clubs including Real Madrid have made it to the World’s Most Valuable Soccer Team list. Besides these three Spanish clubs, the top 30 positions in the list are majorly dominated by Premier League clubs.

After Los Blancos, Manchester United comes in the second position with $6 billion in value. The Red Devils for the first time have reached this valuation of $6 billion. Man Utd is amongst the 12 Premier League clubs that have made it to this year’s list.

Barcelona secured the third position after a 20% rise in their valuation. Currently, the Catalan club is approximately valued at around $4.76 billion. Followed by Barcelona are two Premier League giant clubs Liverpool and Manchester City both clubs are valued at $5.29 and $4.99 billion respectively.

Besides the top five clubs, many other clubs like Newcastle United, Arsenal, Juventus, and Paris Saint-German are also included in the list.

The sixth position in the list is held by the German giants Bayern Munich with a valuation of $4.86 billion. Which is 7% higher when compared to its rival club Borussia Dortmund which has $1.93 billion in value.

The French giant Paris Saint-German is in the seventh position with a valuation of $4.21 billion. The club’s value has increased since 2021 after the signing of Lionel Messi.

Chelsea comes in eighth position with $3.1 billion in value. Chelsea is the only club on the list which has a 0% one-year value change. This is because of some unnecessary signings in the January transfer window. The ninth position is secured by Tottenham Hotspurs with a valuation of $2.8 billion and Arsenal is in the tenth position with $2.26 billion.
