It is alleged that the Real Madrid Midfielder assaulted the Spanish forward, Alex Baena, after the Los Blancos lost 3-2 against Villarreal on last Saturday. It was after the match when the 24-year-old midfielder landed a punch in the face of his rival team colleague. This incident took place in the parking terminus of Bernabeu. As the matter took place outside the field it is not possible for the Match official to record this incident in their matchbook diary.

The accused player alleged that the Spanish midfielder has allegedly abused his unborn child. The Uruguayan stated that Barna said that the Uruguayan ‘would not be able to see his son again’. This was done by the victim not once but twice which led to the incident. The Villarreal player now lodged a formal complaint before the state police regarding the assault.

The Uruguayan player has reportedly admitted to the incident before the police. Although investigations are still going on, Valverde is not arrested by the state police and no sanctions regarding ban or punishment have been declared against the player. If this incident comes out to be true, the Uruguayan midfielder may face a two to five-batch ban along with a huge fine imposed on the player on the grounds of racism, xenophobia, and intolerance in sport.
