Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti takes a cheeky dig over his striker Karim Benzema as he shows him six fingers indicating the number of UCL titles the Italian has won over Benzema’s five.
Real Madrid fans gave their players a heroic welcome on Sunday as they flooded the streets of the Spanish capital to celebrate their 14th European glory.
The Spanish giants defeated Liverpool 1-0 in the final of the UEFA Champions League at the Stade de France on Saturday. Vinicius Jr’s 58th-minute strike made the difference.
After lifting the Champions League trophy and receiving their hard-fought medals, in the midst of celebration, Carlo Ancelotti was captured having some healthy banter with his talisman Karim Benzema.
Carlo Ancelotti can be seen raising six fingers towards Benzema which indicates the number of Champions League the Italian has won as a player and manager. It could be seen as a slight rub over Benzema’s shoulder who himself has won five UCL titles.
This gesture from Ancelotti has been seen as a way of motivating his star forward towards achieving greater milestones who is also the favourite to win the elusive Ballon dOr this season.
Carlo Ancelotti won two European Cup/ Champions League trophies as a player with AC Milan and the exact number as the Rossoneri manager. His two Champions League triumphs with Real Madrid takes his tally to six which has never been matched in the history of the competition.

Lionel Messi claims Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema deserves the Ballon d’Or in 2022
Lionel Messi feels that Benzema deserves to win the Ballon d’Or this year after an exceptional season he had in Real Madrid. The Frenchman scored a second-half hat-trick against Messi’s PSG to eliminate them and progress in the competition which they eventually won against Liverpool in the final.
“I think there are no doubts, it’s very clear that Benzema had a spectacular year and ended up winning the Champions League, being fundamental from the last 16 onwards in every game. I think there is no doubt this year with the Ballon d’Or,” said the Argentine.
