Don Carlo also expressed his concern for the English club as he is not accustomed to seeing them in such a miserable state. The West London club had a poor campaign this season in the premier league. They have managed to win only ten games of the 30 games they played while losing 11 games and losing the rest. The club recently lost to Wolves after Frank Lampard returned for his second spell, putting them in the eleventh spot in the Premier League points table.

The Italian Tactician managed the West London team for a period of 2 years from 2009 to 2011. In his two years tenure, he won the Premier League with the English club in 2010, after which he moved to Paris Saint Germain.

Amidst speculations that keep on going regarding the next permanent manager of Chelsea, new questions emerge about whether the English Midfielder will become the permanent manager for the second time in his former club.

The English club has appointed their former player for the second time as an interim manager for the rest of the season. The club is clear in its opinion of revealing their next permanent manager by the beginning of the next season. With many people on the current list including Spanish Tactician Luis Enrique, German Manager Julian Nagelsmann, and even Italian Los Blancos boss Carlo Ancelotti, the possibility of Lampard becoming the next permanent manager of Chelsea cannot be completely ruled out.

The Real Madrid boss has already denied any possibility regarding his return to managing his former club. At the same time, he praised the current caretaker of Chelsea saying that he knows the caliber of the English Midfielder and he is the best person to fit the current position. He again reiterated that although the condition of his former club is poor for this season it cannot be kept aside that Chelsea has always been a major concern for the Los Blancos in the Champions League. He also said that he is aware that the iconic Chelsea Midfielder has the potential to bring out the best in his players in such high-end matches.

Amidst such speculations, Frank Lampard has become the new interim manager of Chelsea. Former Chelsea forward Ashley Cole has also been contacted for being the assistant manager for the club for the rest of the season. The West London side will now fly to Santiago Bernabeu to face the in-form Real Madrid in the Champions League quarter-final first leg.
