Spanish Giants Real Madrid have come into the controversy surrounding the circulated video involving s*xual abuse. The club has made an official comment regarding the same. It read that the players arrested include a player from Real Madrid Castilla– the reserve side for Los Blancos, as well as three other Real Madrid C players. The players were detained following their involvement in a case of s*xual abuse against a minor, as well as for “revealing secrets of a sexual nature.”
The Spanish authorities have detained no less than 3 Real Madrid players for their involvement in the aforementioned case. While the main ‘culprit’ in the issue is an unnamed Real Madrid C player, who recorded the s*xual abuse done to the minor. Three others have been detained as well, for their involvement in circulating the said video on social media platform ‘WhatsApp’. The players were taken into custody after the parent of the 16-year-old victim made a complaint to the police on September 6 in the Canary Islands.
Even though Real Madrid refused to make a statement at first, now the club has finally come forward to announce their position on the issue. The club said, “When the club has detailed knowledge of the facts, it will take the appropriate measures.” The incident comes off the back of the ‘kiss scandal’ involving Luis Rubiales and Jenni Hermoso. So, the Spanish fans feel that this just further hampers the image. But say that justice must prevail at any cost.
