Real Madrid star Eduardo Camavinga has sparked conversation on social media following a recent video that surfaced on social media. A video shows the Frenchman recording a video using a TikTok filter, which requires the person recording to tilt their head in the direction of the player they prefer. Even though initial choices were of no surprise to fans, Camvainga’s final pick as to who he prefers has caused debate and discussion. To the surprise of many, Eduardo Camavinga’s final pick was Karim Benzema, whom he chose over Cristiano Ronaldo.

Eduardo Camavinga joined Real Madrid in 2021, well after Cristiano Ronaldo had left for Juventus. While Karim Benzema became the focal point of Real Madrid’s attack, Eduardo Camavinga was introduced by Carlo Ancelotti as a player who could play in any position and be called upon at any point in the game. The 21-year-old has made 13 appearances so far in La Liga this season. He also featured in 4 of Real Madrid’s six group-stage matches.

As for the video itself, Camavinga began by picking Ronaldo over Robert Lewandowski and Benzema over Lionel Messi. He then had a tough choice between club teammate and friend Vinicius Jr. and Ronaldo, from which he picked the latter.

He also preferred Benzema over Kylian Mbappe. It finally came down to Madrid legends Benzema and Ronaldo, and after putting a considerable amount of thought, Camavinga let out a chuckle as he picked his former club captain.

Following the same, fans have taken to the comments, where raging debates have kicked off. While many claim that Camavinga chose Benzema solely because he played with him, others opined that he was right to do so. A faction of supporters bashed Camavinga for choosing Benzema in the end, while others argued that he shouldn’t have picked Benzema over Messi to begin with.

Real Madrid expect Camavinga to return alongside Arda Guler

Real Madrid have struggled with injuries so far this season. From Arda Guler to David Alaba and Dani Carvajal, Carlo Ancelotti has been forced to make do with several significant absentees in his squad. Even though the latest signing Arda Guler was made to warm up on the touchline against Mallorca, he was not subbed on by Ancelotti.

As for Camvainga, the youngster picked up a muscle tear in his right knee. He has been out since mid-November and fans expect a speedy return for the player.

Despite initial reports that the Frenchman is 100% fit to play 90 minutes against Mallorca, he was not included in the squad by Don Carlo. It is now believed that the player will feature for the club in their next game against Arandina in the Copa del Rey.
