Valencia has reportedly identified 3 fans responsible for the offence of racism against Vinicius Jr.

Real Madrid lodged a legal complaint on Monday against the incident of racism that took place with Vinicius Jr. The Brazilian forward became a victim of racism while the Los Blancos side locked horns with Valencia. The Real Madrid administration has filed a complaint before the Spanish State Attorney General against the incident of racism. 

Vinicius Junior faced racism during yesterday’s match. The player was seen violently protesting against the fans supported by Eder Militao and Antonio Rüdiger. He then got involved with the Valencia players until sent off by the match officials.

The Real Madrid administration posted a statement to condemn the act of racism. The Los Blancos side said that such incidents are no less than ‘hate crimes’. The Movement Against Intolerance and the Spanish Soccer Player Association have also lodged reports against the incident.

Vinicius Junior took to Twitter after the match saying ‘Racism is common in Spain’. The incident has also been highly criticized by Carlo Ancelotti. Fans kept on calling the young Brazilian a ‘MONO’ which made the 22-year-old burst into tears. Vinicius Junior will face the next match against Rayo Vallecano.

Carlo Ancelotti backed Vinicius Junior in the incident he faced in the match against Valencia

Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti went before the press conference after his side lost to Valencia. The Italian tactician was ashamed and angry at the same time regarding the incident that took place against Vinicius Junior. 

Carlo Ancelotti told before the press conference that he ‘had never before seen a whole stadium being racist ‘. He said that yesterday’s activity of racism is the worst he has ever seen. The Italian tactician even went on to condemn the act of throwing another ball in the field while Vinicius Junior tried to attack. 

The Real Madrid boss even criticized the referees for not putting a halt on the match immediately. The match was only paused for a meager ten minutes, after which it began in its original course. The 57-year-old doesn’t find any reason for which Vinicius was sent off after a VAR check. 

Carlo Ancelotti made it clear that the entire Real Madrid administration along with the player will back Vinicius Junior. He even lamented the fact that the Brazilian forward is the player who faces the most amount of racism. Requesting immediate action he ended saying, “We’re in 2023. Racism shouldn’t exist.”
