Real Madrid ignite rumours to sign Cristiano Ronaldo; upload videos of Portuguese star’s previous stint at Bernabeu hours after his admission to leave United

Cristiano Ronaldo

Cristiano Ronaldo recently admitted that he wasn’t happy at Manchester United and asked the club to let him go should a substantial offer arrive. Something that only a handful of clubs in Europe can manage, Real Madrid included.

With the Los Blancos having lost on Kylian Mbappe this summer, they could look at Cristiano Ronaldo as a short-term answer for their goalscoring needs. The 37 year still has a lot of football left in him and has already played under Carlo Ancelotti winning the Champions League with him back at Real Madrid.

Cristiano Ronaldo enjoyed his most illustrious 9 years at Real Madrid

Cristiano Ronaldo joined Real Madrid from Manchester United back in 2009 for a then World Record fee of £80 million. Over the course of 9 years, he went to become the club’s best player in history, breaking multiple records and becoming their highest-ever goalscorer.

Real Madrid has been quite active on social media uploading videos of Cristiano Ronaldo’s goals in his first stint at the club. They started with these videos just hours after the player admitted to wanting a move away from Old Trafford.

With speculations of Cristiano Ronaldo leaving increasing, Real Madrid could be a potential destination for the striker. Jorge Mendes has had talks with Chelsea and Bayern Munich but is yet to travel to Spain to speak with Real Madrid.

However, should Real Madrid decide to make a move for the Portuguese talisman, the player would love to have a reunion with the club he’s enjoyed the most success with.
