Real Madrid & Liverpool join Chelsea’s pursuit of Newcastle United’s star player: Reports
The 2022–23 season has been off to an impressive start for Newcastle United thanks in large part to Bruno Guimaraes. This Premier League season, the 24-year-old Brazilian midfielder has two goals and two assists for the Magpies. Guimaraes signed a four-and-a-half-year contract with Newcastle in January after leaving Lyon.
According to TNT Sports, Liverpool and Real Madrid are among the teams showing interest in Newcastle United midfielder Bruno Guimaraes. In order to ward off interest, Newcastle are eager to offer the midfielder a more lucrative and longer contract making him their highest-paid player.
Goal reported last week that clubs were apparently keeping an eye on his contract situation in preparation for possible offers in January. Guimarães has been a revelation for The Magpies since joining from Ligue 1 club Lyon for close to £38million in January. Liverpool have well-documented issues in midfield, an area that they have chosen not to invest in for the past 24 months.
