The Real Madrid and Mbappe saga has taken another interesting turn. Similar events have taken place as the striker snubbed Los Blancos last season and signed a contract extension with the French club last season. PSG had offered him perks, which sound similar to a Saudi deal. Moving into the last year of his contract, he had expected to join his boyhood dream club at a zero-cost fee, but PSG had different intentions.

It was conveyed clearly by the French hierarchy that they won’t let go of their biggest asset for free. Mbappe was signed for over 150 million euros and holds a market value topping that now. As reported by BILD, Real Madrid is preparing a final move for the French superstar as we move into the final days of the summer transfer window.

The offer is around €120 million, with bonuses and perks as they aim to lure Mbappe into their new era of Galacticos. With summer signings in Jude Bellingham and Joselu, Madrid seems to be working on their squad depth. While Joselu can fill in, he is not seen as the ideal replacement for club legend and Ballon d’Or holder Karim Benzema.

Mbappe has recently shared a strained relationship with his club. As he was also exiled for not agreeing to renew his contract. The French club had branded a mind-boggling valuation of around 300 million euros for their player. It did not seem logical to any parties involved but the club in Saudi Arabia. If Madrid successfully gets their man, it will be one of the most successful transfer businesses for the club.

Not many players step into professional football, imagining recreating the legendary Pele‘s legacy. From being the only second teenager to score and win the World-cup final and winning it. To score a hat trick in another, Mbappe looks to be achieving new feats in his career with every passing season. Many fans and pundits argue that he is already one of the best players in the world at just 24.

Kylian Mbappe has already won more in his career than most professionals could dream of. With the world at his feet at such a young age, it’s only empirical if his professional decisions off-the-pitch match up with his excellence on the pitch. In Qatar, it seemed like France was just single-handedly led to the final by him and some amazing performances by Griezmann in his new midfield role.

According to former PSG captain Didier Domi Mbappe is technically gifted along with his physical attributes. However, it was his intense personality to deal with pressure and perform at the biggest stage that separated him from the other players around him, with only Norweigan Erling Haaland of Manchester City challenging him for accolades. It will be interesting to see if the player can edge him to the Ballon d’Or in the coming years.
