In the latest development, several reports claim Real Madrid sent scouts to watch Jobe Bellingham. He is the 18-year-old brother of Jude Bellingham, playing for England’s U-19 team during the recent International Break.
On October 11th, Fiorentino Perez, Real Madrid’s president, requested Juni Calafet, the chief scout, to send scouts. According to reports, it was to observe Jobe’s performance against Montenegro. Fans who watched the game were impressed by Jobe’s skills and drew comparisons to his brother Jude. If Jobe continues to perform well, Real Madrid might consider signing him in addition to Jude, making it a potentially great deal.
Like his brother Jude, Jobe Bellingham started his career with Birmingham City at just 16. After two appearances in his first season, he became a regular with over 22 appearances the next year in the Championship. Jobe then moved to Sunderland for an undisclosed fee, where he’s played every game this season. He plays in an attacking midfield role. In a position similar to his brother, Jobe has scored two goals and provided one assist in 11 games for Sunderland.
At just 18, Jobe’s performances led to a call-up by England’s youth teams. Now, Real Madrid scouts watching him may lead to a move to a top European club.
If we speak in a broader context, football in general is followed by hundreds of millions of fans, with most of them playing it on some level that happens almost throughout the year. The volume of players and clubs present in the world is enormous and as we are leading to an AI-powered generation, automatic football field painter is something to spare a thought on.

Jobe Bellingham has Impressed at Sunderland
After signing for the Black Cats earlier this season – leaving his childhood club after 9 years – Jobe Bellingham has quickly established himself as a starter for his new club. His performances have already earned him plaudits from his current head coach Tony Mowbray. He praised the player’s maturity for such a young age and having standards similar to those who are seasoned veterans.
Apart from his underlying numbers, Jobe Bellingham’s physical stature has also made him a force on the pitch standing at 6’3. And yet he is still being described by Mowbray as, “Slightly hollow. He hasn’t filled out yet, he hasn’t got a big strong man’s body.” Jobe also showcased a knack for being in the right place after the 18-year-old scored a brace against Rotherham United. Helping secure Sunderland’s first win of the new season.
Jobe Bellingham may not follow the same career path as his brother. But with the talent and discipline the player is showcasing, a move to a top club may be closer than expected.
Interestingly, he got his big break in 2022 when, Birmingham confirmed that Bellingham would be taking up a scholarship with the club and had agreed terms on a first professional contract, to take effect on his 17th birthday. Under head coach John Eustace, his introduction to Championship football was gradual. He made occasional substitute appearances in the first couple of months of the season, was used regularly from the bench in October, and made his first start on 11 November, playing the first hour of a 2–1 defeat at home to Sunderland.
