Real Madrid star Fede Valverde’s balcony ball reportedly being auctioned for €200

Federico Valverde
There were some incredible moments in the closing minutes of Real Madrid’s loss to Rayo Vallecano when Federico Valverde launched a shot attempt over the crossbar and over the crowd before the ball landed in a nearby flat. Amazingly, the fan who lived in the unit just so happened to be recording the scene on his phone. The ball can be seen flying toward him in the video and then landing on his balcony. He gives out a happy cheer as the ball lands in his flat, and you can hear his excitement.
Real Madrid was on the hunt for an equalizer with 96 minutes remaining. Thibaut Courtois entered the Rayo box for a corner deep in the extra time, but the defense was able to clear the ball. The home crowd was wary of a surprising equalizer as the ball fell at the foot of the in-form Valverde. There was no need to be concerned, though, as the Uruguayan blasted the shot far beyond the stadium.
Real Madrid suffered their first loss of the year against Rayo Vallecano, dropping the game 3-2. The La Liga and Champions League champions only had two attempts that were on goal, with Valverde’s horrifying attempt being one of 14 misses. However, Valverde’s terrible miss and the incredible emotions that followed it overshadowed the result somewhat.
Real Madrid suffers their first defeat of the season

Real Madrid’s unbeaten streak, perfect road record, and league-leading position in Spain were all lost due to a “poor night.” Madrid’s 3-2 loss at Rayo Vallecano on Monday was the team’s first league loss and the end of its six-match winning streak on the road. Madrid was far from its best.
Carlo Ancelotti’s club now trails Barcelona by two points as a result of the defeat. It was only Madrid’s second loss across all competitions, following a defeat at Leipzig in the Champions League group stage last month. Madrid started this season with three draws and 15 victories.
In the Champions League round of 16, Madrid will play Liverpool. In the Spanish league, it has an eight-point advantage over third-place Atlético Madrid. In both contests, Madrid is the defending champion. The majority of the game was better played by Rayo, who won for just the second time in 21 outings versus Madrid. Another occurred in 2019. Real Madrid had finished Sunday’s game with no points…and one fewer ball—leaving them two points behind rival Barcelona at the top of La Liga.
