Multiple reports have suggested that Carlo Ancelotti will be relieved of his duties as head coach at the end of the season. The Los Blancos’ heirarchy are reportedly unhappy with their manager as they expected better results for him.

However, the Italian was composed when questioned on his future at the club, stating: “There is a nice saying that fits this case: talk is cheap. And it is so, I have a contract until June 30, 2024 and I would like to respect it.”

Real Madrid looks set to finish second behind arch-rivals Barcelona with the latter 13 points clear at the top. However, they still have a shot at the Champions League and the Copa Del Rey. When asked about his chances of joining Chelsea, the Italian was quick to refute the rumors. The former Chelsea manager said, “I’m a supporter of Chelsea, go back there? No, I think Lampard is the right man”.

The Chelsea legend has been hired as the interim manager for the rest of the season but has lost his first match against Wolves. Chelsea will face Spanish juggernauts Real Madrid on Thursday.
