Toni Kroos has his answer: Gabri Veiga responds to “Embarrassing” comment by German midfielder

Toni Kroos was the center of attention a few months ago for his comment under a Fabrizio Romano post. La Liga youngster Gabri Veiga‘s breakout season in 2022/23 earned him a move to the Saudi Pro League. However, Toni Kroos felt that the move was “embarrassing” and criticized the move. Moreover, Kroos also hit out against young players forcing moves to Saudi.

Veiga’s decision to make a last-minute move to Al Ahli after agreeing terms with Napoli turned a lot of heads. However, the player has now responded to the criticism he was subject to. Moreover, he said, “The move allowed me to continue growing as a footballer while also being in a League that is growing a lot.” One can never predict how much a league like this can develop, said Veiga.

He also said, “Two years ago I couldn’t even imagine myself playing in Saudi,” and that he may even return to play in the Champions League. Veiga plays alongside Roberto Firmino, Riyad Mahrez and Allan Saint-Maximin. The player has yet to register a goal or assist for the side. He has made 5 appearances for the club since joining.
